Building Your Family with Coast to Coast Surrogacy

Matching & Screening Process

Careful screening and thoughtful matching are the foundation of a stable surrogacy journey. Every surrogate candidate completes medical, psychological, and background screening before being presented for match consideration.

At Coast to Coast Surrogacy, the focus is on alignment, transparency, and creating a strong foundation before moving forward to medical clearance and legal agreements.

Start Your Surrogacy Journey with a Consultation

Initial Surrogate Screening

Two women having a friendly consultation during the initial surrogate screening process.

Before a surrogate is eligible to be presented to Intended Parents, she completes a structured intake and screening process.

This includes:

  • Detailed intake call
  • Background check
  • Review of prior pregnancy and delivery records
  • OB clearance from her current or prior obstetric provider

Only candidates who meet program standards move forward to profile presentation.

Profile Review and Mutual Interest

Intended Parents Reviewing Surrogate Profiles

Once approved at the initial level:

  • Intended Parents receive the surrogate’s profile for review.
  • If Intended Parents wish to proceed, their profile is shared with the surrogate.

Both parties must express interest before the process continues.
This mutual selection ensures that compatibility begins before medical steps are taken.

Clinic Review and Match Call

If both parties express interest:

  • The surrogate’s medical records are submitted to the Intended Parents’ fertility clinic for physician review.
  • If the clinic approves her candidacy, a structured match call is scheduled.

During the match call, expectations, communication preferences, and logistics are discussed openly.

All parties must agree to move forward before formal screening begins.

Psychological and Medical Clearance

After a successful match call and mutual agreement to proceed, formal clearance begins on a parallel path.

This includes:

  • Psychological evaluation for all parties
  • In-person medical screening at the Intended Parents’ IVF clinic

No legal contracts are drafted and no embryo transfer is scheduled until full psychological and medical clearance is received.

If a Match Does Not Move Forward

Surrogacy Rematch Support and Communication

If a surrogate is medically or psychologically disqualified prior to embryo transfer, rematch will be handled according to the Agency Agreement.

If a match ends after embryo transfer or at the Intended Parents’ discretion without medical or psychological cause, rematch provisions outlined in the agreement apply.

Policies are reviewed in advance to ensure transparency.
